A festive episode this week as the girls try their hardest to one up A-RISE for an important Halloween performance. Hilarity ensues.
Here’s my review!
Never missing a beat, Love Live continues it’s dominance with another awesome episode this (last) week. This time around it’s late October and Halloween is around the corner; also around the corner is a big Halloween concert that A-RISE and μ’s will be performing at. Being that no one wants to be outdone by A-RISE, the girls all try to think up some way to have more impact than the defending champions and take the audience by storm, winning them over. Easier said than done though.
I really enjoyed all their attempts at trying to gain more impact; Umi’s idea of dressing up to be club activity idols was pretty good, Maki looked really cute too~! Next up was all of them acting like someone else in the group. Haha Ericchi was so funny as Hanayo and Nozomi being Honoka was hilarious; also Hanayo acting like Nico, haha that was gold! Their next idea of dressing up like KISS was probably too much as they scared other students and got themselves called into the principal’s office to explain their actions.
While each idea had some kinda of impact in it’s own way, nothing was to their liking and they couldn’t get something that would top the likes of A-RISE. In the end though that didn’t really matter as they were able to put together another crowd pleasing performance and make the day a success. The ep ends with Honoka’s sister, Yukiho, going through Honoka’s manga collection sorting things out so she can read the next volume of a manga. She notices a letter on the floor and picks it up, placing it on the desk, but she looks back and it and decides to give it a quick read. Her expression says it all as something important was in the letter, something, I might add, that Yukiho seems to have already known about. What’s in the letter though? We’ll have to wait till next week to find out!
Some of the parts I really liked in this ep were the conversation after the OP between Honoka, Kotori, Maki and Nico; they were all voicing random Halloween decorations, trying to add a festive touch to things. I love have Ericchi comes in and is all serious before pointing out that this is supposed to be an actual serious conversation. Also, Maki’s face when she was holding that plushy, so cute~!! Another part I liked was during the conversation between Honoka, Nico and Rin, as Honoka and Nico and talking, Rin is busy reading that manga and adding to the conversation in her own way. Haha, that was a funny part!
Let’s take a look at some pics from the ep!
So there you have it, a shorter review this week, as this wasn’t a huge intensive ep, but still very enjoyable. Up next I’ll probably have the ep 6 review for Date A Live II by Deven Luca, then I’ll have the ep 7 review for Love Live. Expect that in the next few days as I’ve gotta get caught up before Monday; it’s been wild so far, marathoning anime everyday, but it’s working out so far. Alright then, enjoy these bonus pics!
